Marie-Fatima Hyacinthe

Marie-Fatima Hyacinthe is a second year PhD student in the Social and Behavioral Sciences program and a pre-doctoral fellow in the NIMH HIV Prevention Training Program at CIRA. Marie-Fatima is also pursing a certificate in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. She comes to the program with professional experience in both immigrant rights and HIV advocacy. Marie-Fatima takes a justice-oriented approach to public health, and is interested in melding frameworks of critical race theory and Black feminist theory with her public health research.
