Kelli Stidham Hall

Kelli Stidham Hall is an Associate Professor in the Heilbrunn Department of Population & Family Health at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She completed her PhD from Columbia University, a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University, and a NIH “BIRCWH” K12 Faculty Career Development Award at the University of Michigan. Dr. Hall is the Co-Director of the Office for Community Partnerships and Health Equity at Mailman and the former Founding Director and Principal Investigator of the Center for Reproductive Health Research in the SouthEast at Emory University. Trained as a social epidemiologist and advanced nurse practitioner, Dr. Hall’s research program uses reproductive justice and biosocial frameworks and interdisciplinary methods to study the social and structural determinants of maternal health outcomes, disparities, and service delivery in the U.S. and Africa. One foci entails evaluating the effects of policies, structural racism, health systems and socioenvironmental factors, including toxic social stress, on women’s reproductive health, maternal morbidity, and mortality.
