Dimpho Orionzi

Dimpho Orionzi is a doctoral candidate in Medical Sociology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dimpho has a Master of Science in Health Services Research, Policy & Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Community & Global Health from Macalester College. As a scholar, Dimpho is interested in process, and methods and approaches to reducing race and gender-based inequities. She is particularly interested in how social change happens at the institutional and community level, and at the intersection of the two. Dimpho’s family is from Uganda in East Africa, she was born in Lesotho in Southern Africa, and spent most of her life in Minnesota. Dimpho is a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Research Scholar (HPRS).
