Whitney Wells

Whitney recently defended her PhD in Epidemiology & Translational Science at UCSF and will be starting a postdoc at UCSF. Her research focuses on the health impacts of family support policies, including policies to support access to early childhood education and care. She uses quasi-experimental methods to generate evidence about policies and programs that can support the health of parents and children. Her research has been funded by an F31 fellowship from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the NIH, and has been published in Health Affairs, Epidemiology, The American Journal of Epidemiology, and Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health. She has written an op-ed on paid family leave, featured in The Progressive Magazine.
