IAPHS Student Committee’s Work Is Growing

The IAPHS Student Committee is an interdisciplinary group of students and recent graduates studying population health sciences.

Recognizing the wide array of students in population health, this committee seeks to bridge gaps in the field by bringing students together for professional and academic development as well as networking.

The committee consists of sub-sections:

• Webinar: Creates & hosts online events that may be of interest to students, such as How-to Tuesdays or other professional development opportunities
• Conference: Plans events for the annual IAPHS conference, in addition to helping students submit abstracts to the conference
• Diversity & Membership: Focuses on building the IAPHS student base through promoting the organization & connecting with students
• Social Media: Creates posts and maintains the IAPHS student Instagram to highlight student members and IAPHS events
• General Members: Supports sub-sections with tasks and provide additional feedback and perspectives on IAPHS Student Committee activities
