Through the generous support of RWJF, IAPHS has coordinated the efforts of an Expert Group comprised of Magdalena Cerdá, Ricky Bluthenthal, Carmen Albizu-Garcia, and Kelly Knight. The group’s purpose was to provide needed expertise to facilitate integration of a social determinants of health framework into opioid overdose prevention, opioid use disorder treatment, and recovery services.
Carmen E. Albizu-Garcia, MD, is professor in the Evaluation and Evaluation Research master’s program at the Graduate School of Public Health, Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico, and a researcher in the institution’s Center for Evaluation and Sociomedical Research. Read more
