Sarah K. Cowan is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at New York University. Sarah is a demographer who studies fertility and perinatal health in the United States. She also does work on disclosure of concealable stigmas including abortion history, miscarriage history and cancer diagnoses. Prior to joining the faculty at NYU, Sarah was a Robert Wood Johnson Health and Society Scholar at Columbia University.
