IAPHS gets a shout-out in editorials…
IAPHS StaffDavid Nash, the editor-in-chief of American Health & Drug Benefits and Founding Dean of the Jefferson College of Population Health recently published an editorial that highlights the growth of IAPHS and celebrates its goals. Nash praises IAPHS’s commitment to an interdisciplinary population-based approach to health and healthcare:
“IAPHS is building a bridge from academia to the implementation of public policies to improve the health of the population in many different sectors…. Time will tell if IAPHS can fulfill its vision by improving the health of populations through science and innovation, and by bringing together a very diverse group of scientists from different disciplines. I’m in their corner, loudly cheering them on.” (AHDB 9(8), November 2016)
Watch also for a forthcoming editorial in the American Journal of Public Health authored by current Board members Chris Bachrach and Dorothy Daley. The editorial discusses the challenges that lie ahead for population health science and the part that IAPHS can play in addressing them.
All comments will be reviewed and posted if substantive and of general interest to IAPHS readers.
