Nicole Kravitz-Wirtz is an Assistant Professor with the Violence Prevention Research Program in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, Davis. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Washington, her M.P.H. in Epidemiology from UC Los Angeles, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Population Studies Center at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses broadly on the social and policy determinants, consequences, and prevention of violence and related health outcomes over the life course and across generations, with a particular emphasis on inequities by race-ethnicity and the residential environment.
