Dr. Manizha Ashna is a Research Fellow at Cambridge Reproductive Health Consultants, based in Ottawa, Canada. She is a passionate advocate for women's reproductive health and rights, focusing on improving reproductive health services in conflict-affected and low-resource settings. Manizha co-founded the Women’s Health and Welfare Organization in Afghanistan, where she co-led advocacy and training projects to promote the health and welfare of Afghan women and girls. She has also worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) on Gender Mainstreaming in Health and Emergency Settings. Manizha holds an MD from Balkh University and an MSc in Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa. She is currently completing her PhD in Population Health at the University of Ottawa.
