Moving Beyond the Ivory Tower: Reimagining How We Rebuild Trust in Science
IAPHS Staff
Dear Colleagues,
The 2026 IAPHS Annual Conference is fast approaching, and we are thrilled to share the details of this year’s plenary sessions. As our field navigates an increasingly complex landscape, these sessions focus on the essential processes of building trust, managing risk, and ensuring our science translates into meaningful change.
Featured Plenary Sessions
- Public-Facing Communication in a Polarized World: Front-line Perspectives (Sept 30): A look at the challenges of sharing evidence when public discourse is deeply divided featuring Lisa Rosenbaum and Brinda Adhikari.
- Research for Impact: New approaches to production and publication (Oct 1): Exploring innovative models for generating and disseminating research that shifts policy and practice with Sandro Galea, Brian Nosek, and Cory Jane Clark.
- Narratives, Influence, and Trust: Lessons from research and practice (Oct 2): An interdisciplinary deep dive into how narratives shape the uptake of population health science by Sarah Gollust, Lori Dorfman, and Ayesha McAdams Mahmoud.
Beyond the plenaries, the conference offers a unique opportunity to connect with mentors, peers, and leaders dedicated to improving population health through rigorous, interdisciplinary science.
