Yukiko Asada is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She holds a PhD in population health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses on the intersection of population health, health services research, and ethics. Her current research involves articulating the concept of health inequity, advancing the measurement of health inequity, and promoting public dialogue on health inequity. Her monograph, Health Inequality: Morality and Measurement (University of Toronto Press, 2007), vividly embodies her interdisciplinary approach.
