Tim Bruckner, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of California, Irvine. He examines how population health responds to ambient changes in the environment. A sampling of ambient changes that interest him include economic downturns, extreme cold, the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks, the introduction of a casino, and new mental health policies. Bruckner intends for his work to inform basic science, social determinants of health, and health policy.
