Glen Mays

Glen P. Mays is professor and chair of the Department of Health Systems, Management and Policy at the University of Colorado School of Public Health. His research examines delivery and financing systems for health care, social and public health services, with a focus on evaluating the health and economic impact of these systems. He leads the Systems for Action national research program funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which studies mechanisms for aligning the delivery and financing of medical, social, and public health services. He holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Brown University, M.P.H. and Ph.D. degrees in health services research from UNC-Chapel Hill, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in health economics at Harvard Medical School. Before joining Colorado in 2019, he held faculty and research positions at the University of Kentucky, University of Arkansas, and Mathematica Policy Research.
