Angela Bruns

Angela is an Assistant Professor of Sociology & Criminology at Gonzaga University. Broadly, her research focuses on low-income families’ interactions with two social institutions–mass incarceration and the low-wage labor market–and how those interactions shape health and economic well-being. Current projects examine how women manage the financial hardships associated with the imprisonment of their romantic partners, how the conditions of low-wage jobs influence work-family balance, and the impact of multiple job holding on maternal and child well-being.
